Passions lead us to do irrational things and my latest purchase, the loafers Tod's Olive Green (they call them "military green" but the color is really olive), are an example of this. Actually, I had been looking for a pair of shoes of this type of green for a long time to match a leather jacket that I bought about three years ago that I ended up wearing only with black shoes. I saw this model on Yoox and put it in the dream box. Last month, taking advantage of an additional discount, I bought them at a price of 128 €. The shoes are in calf leather with a light hammered effect, they are totally smooth, without clamps or laces. Even if the color is not one of my favorites it is still different from what I already have so it will challenge me to invent new combinations. When they arrived I immediately put them next to the jacket and as I suspected the color was not identical but very similar and in any case it matches well the same. The problem that arose later was how to match the shoes during the summer season, since the color is challenging. Right here lies my double craziness; first of all I bought a pair of summer shoes when instead I needed a winter pair, secondly I solved the problem of how to match the shoes by buying four t-shits with different shades of green, this taking into account that we are in the month of November. In general, however, the model without laces or clamps is my favorite, with this it is the third one I have and surely once worn I will find both the combinations and the pleasure of wearing a totally new color for me. I hope it will end like the first red Tod's I bought; in the beginning it was supposed to be a test, then I wore them more than the others and ended up buying the second pair of red shoes.
