By Antonio MalaraLately, especially on socials networks looks like we're surrounded by messages of healthy lifestyle, there are lot of influencers, nutritionists or even regular persons who promote a life based on healthy diet, as a priority. Personally I'm lucky because I have the opposite problem, in fact my challenge is to gain weight. Despite of this, I've been always attracted by the balance body cardio by Withings, so I downloaded the app on my phone over one year ago, and put this balance on my wishlist. Last month I received an email with a promotional code to buy the body cardio with 40% off, I bought it the day after. The body cardio is a scale who can measure not only your weight, it also measures your fat, the water on your body, the muscles, the bones, the heart beat and plus the pulse wave velocity. The scale has a rechargeable battery inside, and can be charged using the cable (that is included in the box) it has stripes of sensors on the top which are the key of all those measurements. It's really simple to install it, in fact the scale is ready to work, what you have to do is just download the Withings app on your smartphone, create you own account and synchronize through Bluetooth. This task is really simple, after you created you account on the app (or probably you already have one) go on the settings and push "add new device" choose "body cardio" and that's it, it's just 3 or 4 steps. You can personalize the measurements as you want, is also easy to do it. After this, you're ready to check your weigh, first will appear your weigh, then all the others measurements you selected (there's also the forecast). In order to determine your pulse wave velocity, you need to check your weight for five times. After you've weighted, refresh the Withings dashboard page and all the data will appear on your phone. The scale confirmed my good health, so for me it's just a routine and the pleasure to have all the data on my hands. In conclusion this is an expensive device, but if you have goals on your weight, if you're on a diet, this scale is really helpful. Of course if it's hard for you to reach your goals, to know all the data could be a little frustrating but my general feedback is positive. So if you're also a data-addicted person and-or a perfectionist, this scale can be a good partner! Photo: Antonio Malara
