I connect the word “splash” with a wave, the blue see and the beach time. This word reminds me to summer time and it creates inside me a colorful pattern, one single word makes me travel to exotic places. “Splash” is exactly what I thought when I saw this leather jacket, the color wasn’t a simple blu but something lighter and brighter, I never saw a leather jacket of this color. Of course I put it on my wishlist with the idea to create a summer style outfit. I’ve been lucky with the weather the day of the shooting (it was May) but I have to say that in the last years we had no spring. Then overnight the summer comes and practically we had no chance to wear this kind of jackets because it’s to hot. I shot the outfit in a raw property I have on the hills near my home, it wasn’t for a trend but for a necessity because I didn’t have the time to go through the city. The location surprised me for its versatility, I had the shot I wanted and probably I’ll set another shooting here.
At the beginning I wanted to find a pair of shoes the same color of the jacket, I actually bought a beautiful pair of Tod’s loafers but the blue was only similar but not the same (I hope to show them in another post). I thought that a bright shoe would have been more “summer” but then I changed my mind and I used my black slip-on by Paciotti 4US. With a white t-shirt (the colorful rings details around the sleeves are really nice) and a clear denim jeans, the outfit looks “splashy” anyway so I was wrong with my doubts about the black shoes.
As I said I don’t have good feelings about the weather for this summer, I hope that this outfit could exorcise my thoughts and spread to us the best climate in this time of reverse seasons.
